Appointments
For Patients
Prior to your surgery, you will be referred to our us for a preoperative evaluation.
Pre-operative evaluation. Your surgeon has asked a Dallas Internal Medicine Group physician to see you for a preoperative assessment of your health prior to undergoing surgery. This assessment includes an office visit, which will address medical issues that need to be managed prior to the surgery and during the immediate postoperative recovery period. A chest x-ray, EKG and lab may be ordered at the time of the visit. The preoperative visit is an opportunity for you to address any medical concerns you may have with a physician whose focus is on the care of a patient preparing for surgery.
